There's way more to H-E-B than our 400+ Stores. To support our manufacturing and warehouse campus locations, the H-E-B Industrial Facility Services team provides maintenance, repair, and construction in ammonia refrigeration, plant utilities, automated systems, and building services.

As an Automated Systems Industrial Maintenance Partner, with minimal supervision, will maintain H-E-B facilities and systems in a professional manner to ensure safety, efficiency, and reliability. You'll support our mission to be a world class maintenance management organization using the latest in technology, processes, and procedures.

We are looking for:

• a high school diploma

• 4+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance, electrical maintenance, welding, hydraulic / pneumatic systems, construction trades, or AC maintenance

• EPA Universal License

What is the work?

Essential Functions / Process Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned as necessary:

HEATING, AIR CONDITIONING AND VENTILATION:

• Evaluate systems for proper operation and efficiency using BMS, manifold gauges, thermometers and manometers, etc.

• Use refrigerant recovery system and manifold gauges when evacuating and charging HVAC units or Chiller systems.

• Troubleshoot, repair and replace HVAC package units, split systems and chiller system major components.

• Troubleshoot Building Management System components: Actuators, Sensors, Valves, and electrical components.

• Train and assist lower-level technicians when repairing HVAC equipment and Chiller system components.

• Perform assigned PM tasks on HVAC equipment, Chillers, and Chiller plant pumps and motors.

  -Perform operational checks on Chiller Plant using equipment HMI and BMS.

MECHANICAL:

• Perform Preventive Maintenance tasks on major facility systems such as the Chiller Plant Centrifugal Compressors, Condenser Water pumps, Chilled Water pumps, Cooling Tower and Chilled water air handler equipment etc.

• Use appropriate tools, materials and methods to perform mechanical tasks in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Troubleshoot, repair, or replace compressors, pumps, seals and all major components on facility support equipment.

  • Perform skill level appropriate PM tasks on facility mechanical equipment.

  • Assist higher level technicians while installing, troubleshooting and repairing any facility mechanical equipment or systems.

Compliance:

• Follows standard operating procedures (SOP) related to work order and parts requisitions completion

• Completes accident and incident reports in compliance with policy

• Stay informed by attending team meetings, reading bulletin boards and technical bulletins

• Work while standing, sitting, stooping, walking, bending, with hands over head, and in prone position

• Work in extreme temperatures ranging from -20 to 130 degrees

• Must be able to work with hands over head

• Lift 20 lbs. or more on an occasional basis
