Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.
Have a High School Diploma or GED .
Governmental and fund accounting principles and higher education policies and procedures.
Attention to detail.
MS Office products, ERP systems for budget, finance, and human resources.
Communicate effectively.
Work collaboratively in a team environment.
Ability to research and resolve customer inquiries/assigned tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in higher education budgeting processes and procedures.
Knowledge of governmental fund accounting.
Knowledge of basic budgeting principles.
Experience with SAP .
Ability to work with large data sets in Excel using advanced spreadsheet skills.
Bachelor’s degree in related field.
Ability to work under general supervision, learn quickly, multitask and prioritize workload and readjust as needed.
Job Description
The Administrative Budget Specialist manages and coordinates budget and financial matters for a specific department.
Job Duties
Process basic budget functions, create departmental budget adjustments, daily RIB processing, uses of reserves, and estimated income.
Provide research and resolutions for departmental over budgets including back office hard stops.
Assist with the creation of process documentation for budget and master data functions.
Work collaboratively in a team environment providing departmental assistance when needed and cross training other analyst on master data specific SAP task.
Assist with daily operational tasks of the University Police Department.
Additional Information to Applicants
This position requires driving University vehicles.
This position requires pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Testing.
