Summary: The Logistics Manager oversees the movement and storage of goods within the company, managing inventory levels, coordinating transportation, negotiating with carriers, optimizing logistic processes, managing the materials team, collects and analyses data to identify cost-savings opportunities, and ensure timely deliveries while maintaining customer satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive logistics strategies to optimize the movement of goods throughout the supply chain, minimizing costs and maximizing efficiency.

• Manage warehouse personnel to ensure accurate inventory management, timely order fulfillment, and efficient warehouse operations.

• Negotiate freight rates with carriers and manage transportation providers to secure cost-effective shipping options.

• Establish KPI’s to measure logistics performance, such as OTD, inventory turnovers, and labor efficiencies.

• Analyze logistics data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and informed decision making.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline logistics processes and align with overall business objectives.

• Collaborate with customer service teams to address shipping issues, provide order updates, and ensure customer satisfaction.

• Sets objectives/goals for departmental personnel; provides necessary training and guidance to reach objectives.

• Participates in regulatory and internal audits and performs necessary follow-up, including implementing CAPA’s.

• Establishes warehouse business processes and Standard Operating Procedures to achieve efficiency.

• Ensure adherence to relevant regulations and compliance standards related to shipping and logistics operations.

• Management Duties

• Build an effective team. Manage proactively by holding regular 1:1 and team meetings to ensure and encourage inter-departmental communication.

• Completes departmental goals on time and tracks results of changes.

• Develop, foster, and implement company policies, plans, and continuous improvement efforts in the department

• Review and manage department scheduling and overtime.

• Address all matters of discipline and termination relating to department employees.

• Prepare and provide the annual personnel evaluations as required.

• Assist with the development and preparation of departmental expense and capital budgets.

• Perform other tasks and special projects as directed by management personnel.
