Description A Management Resources client in is immediate need for an Accounting Manager Level Consultant, who will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have previous management and oversight experience, along with strong technical skills in reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close processes. This role will involve handling high-volume transactional accounting tasks with precision and efficiency. This is a 6-month engagement and 100% remote.

Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee day-to-day accounting operations

Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness

Prepare and post journal entries for various transactions

Assist with month-end close procedures, including preparing financial statements and variance analysis

Review and analyze financial data to identify discrepancies or irregularities

Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies

Provide guidance and support to accounting team members

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency

Contribute to the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

CPA or equivalent certification preferred

Previous experience in a management or supervisory role

Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices

Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Ppl Soft)

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
