Are you ready for the next step of your career? We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant ( VA ) to join our ICU team! Expand your skills, and work with a wide variety of presenting emergencies and hospitalized patients. The ideal technician will have excellent critical thinking and decision-making abilities.

Located in San Leandro, CA, VCA Bay Area Veterinary Specialist and Emergency Hospital is a 24-hour emergency and specialty hospital that has been caring for the pets of our community for over 25 years . Qualifications:

• 1 + year(s) experience in a veterinary emergency or intensive care unit

• Ability to triage, assess, and examine critical patients

Our hospital is fully equipped with advanced diagnostic and therapeutic equipment that includes CT, ultrasound, endoscopy, and fluoroscopy. With access to a wide variety of equipment and resources, you will be able to provide the highest quality care for our patients.

VCA Animal Hospitals offers competitive compensation and benefits packages including Medical/Dental/Vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, pet care discounts, paid vacation, holidays and sick days, and health and well-being programs that provide resources and training. Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. The pay range for this position is $20-28/ hour. The shift differential rate for overnights and weekends, $1.50 - $6.00/ hour will be applied as determined for each shift.
