Oracle Principal Data Center Portfolio Program Manager in San Juan, Puerto Rico

Job Description

With the ongoing expansion of our business, we need a strong Principal Technical Program Manager for the Oracle Delivery team. TThis is a high impact role that will lead, oversee, and ensure the successful delivery and management of critical initiatives on our strategic roadmap. The role comes with a high degree of personal accountability and autonomy and will require effective engagement across Engineering and Operations.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to own the planning, scoping and execution of strategic initiatives enabled by technology. They will drive decision-making, roadmap planning, and initiative implementation focused on measurable impact and must be able to manage the balance between business outcomes and technical delivery at scale.

Responsibilities

Specific Responsibilities include:

  • Build, supervise, and execute long-term plans including schedules, resourcing, and checkpoints

  • Lead planning with key internal partners on capacity demands with engineering roadmaps and data center expansions

  • Translate program requirements into Basis Of Design documents

  • Bring together team members and foster a collaborative approach to delivery while holding team members accountable to action items and timelines

  • Document and communicate risks, assumptions, and constraints using historical data and expert judgment in order to understand program limitations

  • Anticipate and manage risks associated with change through appropriate prioritization

  • Balance multiple priorities by effectively prioritizing based on importance and impact and demonstrate creativity when developing solutions considering the long-term impact

  • manage dependencies, datacenter releases, and grow the capabilities of current reporting and tooling, driving continuous improvement to meet our needs as a developer of a world class cloud computing service provider

  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Engineering, Program Management, Product Manager's, Suppliers, and other supporting functions in order to accurately structure new products and document product changes as part of the product development, continuous improvement, and sustaining engineering processes

Ideal Experience

  • Outstanding long-term planning and execution skills to carry our data center lifecycle planning

  • Solid technical understanding of data center infrastructure, including High Performance Compute data centers

  • 6+ years of experience providing program and project management leadership for data center projects covering construction of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing with large-scale server, storage, and network deployments

  • In-depth knowledge of infrastructure (hardware and software) data center (electrical and mechanical) technologies

  • Experience with colocation data center environments

  • Knowledge of Primavera or other scheduling tools

  • Accreditation by AACE, PMI, or similar institutions

Hiring Range: from $87,800 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

  10. Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
