Job Description

The Financial Analyst position will partner with functional areas to provide strategic support through close engagement across the Affiliate. Supports Finance Manager to coordinate the affiliate P&L and financial reporting. Interacts with all support areas Finance Shared Services (FSS), Business Process Outsourcer (BPO), Centers of Excellence (COE) to provide the affiliate with timely and accurate financial information needed to reach organizational strategic plan and goals while ensuring compliance with corporate policies and government regulations. Supports overall Fixed Assets and Accounts Payable duties managed at the affiliate level. Active participation and support in internal and external audits.

Responsibilities

  • Completes accurate month-end and quarter-end close under US GAAP within the required deadlines. Ensure compliance with applicable standards (i.e. GAAP, FASB), rules, regulations, and systems of internal control.

  • Prepares required audit schedules and support in advance of statutory audits, including analytic reviews. Interacts with both internal and external auditors as required.

  • Handles accounts payable duties that are work at the affiliate level. In charge of vendor’s master changes and updates including but not limited to withholding codes, payment terms and vendor’s basic information among others.

  • Responsible for the timely incentives calculation for payment audit to ensure high data integrity commission payments.

  • Assist with the creation of SAP Internal Orders that are used for the compilation of costs associated with assets under construction and Balance Sheet settlements.

  • Controls the movement of fixed assets registering each movement and providing copy to corresponding personnel.

  • Physically inventory property and equipment with the goal of updating registers in the system and maintain a better control of assets.

  • Assists Tax COE with tax payments and filings. Make sure affiliate issue all Tax payments on time. Manages any discrepancy or debt with the corresponding Government Agency.

  • Manage assigned projects and collaborate with cross-functional team members in delivering high quality, decision ready information to our business partners wherever needed.

  • Supports Contracts & Pricing Area when needed for Rebates and Chargebacks transactions. In charge of Copay accounting transactions and monitoring of invoices processed.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in accounting and financial analysis. Must demonstrate knowledge of business and financial principles.

  • Pharmaceutical industry background preferred. Prior SAP experience strongly preferred.

  • Strong analytical skills. Capable of handling multiple priorities. Strong organizational skills with ability to handle various tasks, attention to detail.

  • Ability to understand accounting cycle and perform various and complex financial analyses.

  • Proficient PC skills (Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word); Advanced knowledge in Excel. Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills in both English and Spanish.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.

  • Individual must be self-motivated with great follow-up skills and be able to work independently.

  • Ability to be flexible and quickly adapt to changing business needs and processes.

  • Ability to solve problems proactively and creatively.

Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
