A Brief OverviewThe Consumer Field Collector notifies or locates customers with delinquent accounts and attempts to secure payment, obtain loss mitigation (workout) agreement or secure the asset via Self-Help, Voluntary Repossession or Deposit.What you’ll do· Contacts delinquent account customers in person or sets up a contact visit by telephone.· Obtains the reason for arrears, records information about critical demographics, financial status of customer, status of collection efforts and follow-up.· Performs repossession or recommends the placement of the account to an agency/attorney.· Receives payments and posts amount paid to customer account.· Skip traces customer to new address by inquiring at post office, questioning references/neighbors or via any leads that may come up via the credit bureaus or other creditors.· Attempts to repossess asset/merchandise when customer fails to make payment.What You’ll Need to SucceedAssociate Degree in Business Administration or related field and one year of relevant experience.
