Johnson Controls Digital Solutions Project Development Engineer in San Jose, Costa Rica
Goal
Support the Sales & Engineering teams on pre-sales and post-sales multi-faceted projects with technical activities such as takeoff, drawings, bill of materials and design.
Essential Functions
Support on Request for Proposals working on takeoffs, bill of material creation, pricing, etc.
Create shop drawings, system/solution architecture, device placement drawings, submittal drawings, and As- Built drawings based on the client’s standards and/or markups after site survey.
Create post-sales design drawings and engineering packages.
Provide our internal and external engineering teams with support on projects of all complexities.
What we look for:
Required
Final year Computer Science, Electronics, Mechatronics, Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering student.
0-1 year of experience in engineering related activities.
Must be able to meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude.
Effective and professional communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with internal/external customers and peers.
Proactive, Kaizen enthusiast
General business level in English (B2 and above)
Willingness and ability to learn about cloud computing, building controls, HVAC, Digital Solutions, Energy Efficiency, Building Space Management and Optimization, Artificial Intelligence systems.
Basic knowledge of signals (Digital/Analog), instrumentation and control systems
Preferred
Basic Knowledge of building automation or industrial automation systems and communication protocols.
Basic knowledge of low voltage electrical system schematics and diagrams
Basic knowledge of cloud computing
