Adecco US, Inc. Test Engineer, Swing Shift in San Jose, California

Adecco has partnered with a Multinational Electronics Manufacture to hire a Full Time/ Direct Hire Test Engineer (Swing Shift) in San Jose, CA.

Pay: $80K to $90K + 10% Shift differential rate

(Mandarin or Vietnamese will be a great plus)

Hours: 2pm to 11pm

Job Description:

This position is responsible for building, modifying, evaluating, and maintaining all test equipment for Production.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic testing and debugging for production.

  • Assist Test Engineers with testing area setups and methods.

  • Recommend new testing methods or changes in existing methods.

  • Maintain test records and reports.

  • Train Operators or Testers on new and existing testing procedures and product troubleshooting.

  • Responsible for the procurement, maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvement of test equipment.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Able to read/interpret schematics, drawings, wire lists, and prints.

  • Must have working knowledge of test equipment such as voltmeters, digital meters, oscilloscopes, calipers, etc…

  • Must have hands-on experience in computer hardware repair, troubleshooting, and installation

  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills

  • Must have a strong customer service/satisfaction attitude

  • Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure manufacturing environment

Education and Experience:

  • Associate’s degree required.

  • 2 years of manufacturing test experience preferred.

Job Summary The candidate will work as a Test Engineer, primarily responsible for building, modifying, evaluating, and maintaining test equipment used in production. They will perform basic testing and debugging for production, assist in setting up testing areas, recommend new testing methods, maintain test records, train operators on procedures, and handle procurement and maintenance of test equipment.

Even Simpler: The job is for someone who makes sure that machines used in making products are working correctly. They will help set up tests for these machines and teach others how to do it too.

  • Oscilloscopes: Devices used to observe varying signal voltages typically represented as a two-dimensional graph.

  • Calipers: Measuring instruments used to measure the distance between two opposite sides of an object.

  • Computer Hardware Repair: The process of identifying issues with computer components and fixing them.

  • Troubleshooting: The systematic approach to solving problems or determining faults within a system.

Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
