Robert Half Test Center Administrator in San Jose, California

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Office Assistant in San Jose, California. This role falls within the testing industry, with the primary function being to manage the greeter station of a testing site. The successful candidate will be responsible for running web-based tests, assisting individuals with check-in procedures, and ensuring adherence to rules regarding permissible testing materials. Regular monitoring of the testing site to prevent cheating is also part of the job.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the greeter station of a testing site, ensuring smooth operation of checking in processes.

• Run web-based tests for various credentials and certifications.

• Enforce rules regarding permissible testing materials, such as calculators and notes.

• Regularly monitor the testing site to prevent cheating, ensuring integrity of the testing process.

• Use computer apps and systems specific to the testing site to start and stop tests.

• Respond to emails and handle other light office work as required.

• Maintain a secure testing environment by conducting regular security checks.

• Provide excellent customer service to test-takers, assisting them with any inquiries or issues.

• Utilize skills in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suites, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Word to perform various office functions.

• Perform other clerical duties and tasks as necessary. Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook

• Familiarity with 'About Time' software

• Experience in carrying out office functions and clerical duties

• Knowledge of billing functions and procedures

• Ability to manage correspondence professionally and efficiently

• Exceptional customer service skills

• Understanding of basic office equipment operation

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

• High attention to detail

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

• Ability to work independently and take initiative when necessary

• Demonstrated problem-solving skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required; further education in office administration or relevant field is a plus.
