Cadence Design Systems, Inc. Strategy and Transformation Intern in San Jose, California

About the Transformation Team : The transformation team was created to establish a formal project management framework and governance structure to ensure coordination between the significant and complex projects of the Finance organization. Further, the Transformation Team is focused on value creation for our internal and external stakeholders. We accomplish this through our focus on building business partnerships across the broader finance and business teams as we develop leaders in our team. Projects for the transformation team are expected to include the following:

  • Process improvement, automation, and global standardization.

  • Systems implementation, upgrade, or improvement.

  • Development and integration of data analytics for use in business performance analysis.

  • Special projects, including participation in business development activities as needed or assigned.

    Job Responsibilities:

  • Support strategy, analysis, and roadmap of solutions to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide support for digital projects and new business models.

  • Maintain and disseminate tools, templates and tracking mechanisms to effectively manage the planning, organization, and coordination of projects.

  • Help develop training materials and documentation to facilitate the adoption of new digital solutions.

  • Assist in data collection, analysis, and reporting to measure the impact of digital initiatives.

  • Contribute ideas and insights to brainstorming sessions aimed at driving innovation and continuous improvement.

  • Assist worldwide Finance and business teams with completion of tasks as needed.

    Job Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program, preferably in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen interest in digital technology, strategy, and operations.

  • Detail oriented and well organized.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint and Excel) and willingness to learn new software applications.

  • Prior experience or coursework in digital transformation, project management, or business analysis is a plus.

    Education and Experience:

  • Currently enrolled in a BS/MS in Procurement/Business Administration or equivalent.

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Experience with data analytics tools is a plus (i.e., Tableau).

  • Facilitation skills to collaborate with stakeholders and within Finance.

  • Good teamwork and influencing skills.

  • Can commit to at least a 12-week internship.

  • Ability to relocate to the Bay Area, California, for the duration of the internship.
