Hermes Microvision, Inc., an ASML company, is the world leader in the design and manufacture of most advanced electron beam inspection/metrology tools for R/D, inline monitoring of process defects and critical pattern measurement and verification in advanced semiconductor factories.
Hermes Microvision Inc has openings in electron optics department. The openings are senior electron optics system design and characterization engineers. He/she will work closely with the other engineers to develop, design, test and characterize the most advanced electron beam source and electron optical column, and the related control system for semiconductor wafer inspection/metrology system.
The job duties include some of followed responsibilities:
Simulate the performance of an electron optical system using electron optics CAD software.
Mechanical design of new generation electron sources and electron optical columns for electron beam inspection and metrology.
Assemble, integrate and test the new-designed SEM sub-modules, then integrate the sub-modules into electron optics system, and perform electron optics system testing in the test bench and write test reports;
Work with the system engineer, mechanical engineer and electrical engineer, integrate the electron source and column onto the system platform; Work with software and firmware engineers on integration of electron optical controls on the system platform;
Characterize the electron optical system’s resolution, current, distortion, and other optical characteristics at the system platform;
Document the development, testing, assembling, and manufacturing procedures;
Transfer electron optics source/column manufacturing technology to the manufacturing site of company;
Provide technical support for electron optics related issues escalated from manufacturing and customer-site.
Master or Ph.D degree in applied physics, electrical engineering with a strong foundation in the fundamentals of physics and charged particle physics is required.
Experience with electron scanning microscopy, charged particle optics, high voltage, charged particle physics, vacuum systems and semiconductor fabs is desirable.
Excellent communication skills.
The candidate must be hands-on and have good team working spirit.
