Stryker is seeking to hire a Program Manager to support our New Product Development team at Stryker Endoscopy (https://www.stryker.com/us/en/endoscopy.html) . Your role is crucial in shaping the strategic direction and execution of projects that drive innovation in the medical device industry. This role is hybrid, in San Jose, CA with the expectation to be in the office 3 days a week.

What you will do:

As a Program Manager in New Product Development, you will lead cross-functional teams in planning and execution of business critical, complex projects and programs to bring innovative medical devices to market.

  • Collaborate with BU leadership to define, manage and own program scope.

  • Develop and manage the detailed project/program Gantt chart. Analyze critical path, major workstreams, interdependencies, and intersecting milestones. Own the project/program schedule, create a shared vision for project team, and monitor plan vs. actual.

  • Create program budget with cross-functional managers and directors. Optimize, monitor, and maintain costs within budget.

  • Develop a risk management plan for the project/program. Identify, analyze, and understand project risks, develop and monitor a risk response plan.

  • Estimate, acquire and assign cross functional project/program resources. Define the role, responsibility, and deliverables for each team member. Provide direct feedback to functional manager on performance. Coach and mentor project and fellow PMO team members. Recruit and onboard staff; participate on hiring teams for cross-functional groups.

  • Develop a Stakeholder engagement plan for the project/program, based on the identification, analysis and understanding of Stakeholder expectations and requirements.

  • Develop and execute communications management plan for project/program team, key stakeholders, and business leaders.

What you need:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or scientific engineering

  • 8+ years of combined experience in project management and engineering with a focus on new product development within medical device or a highly regulated industry

Preferred:

  • PMP or PgMP or equivalent preferred

$146,600.00 - $239,900.00 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
