As a market leader in wireless networking solutions, Qualcomm has been instrumental in enabling Wi-Fi to become the primary means of providing network access to devices in homes, small businesses, large enterprises, and public venues such as airports and hotels.

Next generation Wi-Fi solutions will drive levels of network efficiency and performance to unprecedented levels enabling them to service applications that demand low latency and high bandwidth all while accommodating the rapid endpoint growth being driven by smart home/business solutions and providing Wi-Fi service providers with additional revenue generating models. This shift in wireless networking presents the opportunity to truly drive the transformation of how Wi-Fi networks are designed, provisioned, and deployed.

As Staff Product Manager for Qualcomm’s Wireless Infrastructure Networking (WIN) business, you will be driving select Retail and Service Provider business engagements across North America. You will define and drive comprehensive customer platform strategy, evangelize Qualcomm solutions, influence Carrier RFIs/RFQs and ensure successful product launches.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Total ownership and accountability for customers/segments you are responsible for in Retail and Service Provider business driving product strategy, pricing, portfolio design wins, revenue growth and market share.

  • Market newer products, technology, and business models by collaborating with customer product and technology teams

  • Quarterback customer meetings and guide internal teams (Support, Engineering, Product) on customer priorities and requirements

  • Bring subject matter expertise on service provider requirements and evangelize system-level technical trends internally/externally

  • Prepare and deliver highly effective presentations that drive key marketing messages and differentiation around Qualcomm solutions

  • Influence product definition and roadmap by translating customer requirements, market feedback, competitive dynamics, and technology trends

  • Identify opportunities for architectural alignment with customers that result in long-term product portfolio gains

  • Influence technical and business stakeholders across management levels

  • Working closely with Sales team to identify and support new business opportunities

  • Drive necessary partnerships across the eco-system to deliver compelling solution offerings to customers

  • Have a good understanding of the business trends and continually monitoring competitor landscape and industry developments

This is a role for a technically strong, experienced product manager with a proven track record of delivering 802.11/802.3 networking products into retail and carrier markets. Success in this role requires building and maintaining strong relationships across sales, business development, product, and engineering teams. We are seeking someone with a strong business acumen, customer focus, product vision, technology strategy and be the voice of the customer internally.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Humanities, or related field.

• 5+ years of Product Management or related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

· 10+ years of product management or related work experience

· 10+ years of experience working with customers on requirements and translating them into product specifications

· Experience working with TCP/UDP/IP/802.3/802.11x protocols and working with drivers from various wireless vendors

· Strong analytical and quantitative skills with ability to use data and metrics for making assumptions and decisions

· Exceptional communication skills with an ability to quickly establish credibility and positive influence across a diverse array of technical teams in multiple geographies

· Proven track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

· Deep knowledge of networking SW architecture and system level knowledge of service provider deployments highly desired

· Knowledge or experience with Cloud and Services architecture a plus

· Familiarity with networking data path services, tools and network instrumentation/telemetry a plus

· Entrepreneurial approach to new business opportunities and problem solving highly desired

· Master’s in Engineering, Computer Science or related field. MBA desired

Pay range:

$191,500.00 - $287,500.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
