Work you'll do

• Manage and implement technical solutions to improve financial management activities

• Perform analysis and diagnosis of client financial control issues and gaps

• Lead accounting and financial reporting operations

• Lead implementation elements including technical policy, internal controls, process enhancement, technology, and data abstraction

• Advise our clients on technical accounting and internal controls matters

• Lead pre-sales, proposal, and RFP initiatives

• Mentor and coach others

• Exercise mature judgement, and strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills

• Manage senior-level client relationships

• Serve as a "Subject Matter Expert", adding experienced insights into client challenges

• Manage solutions, delegate resources, and ensure the quality assurance principles are met across projects and deliverables

• Lead and support delivery teams and staff

• Actively participate in staff recruitment and retention

Our team provides resources to help clients manage their core accounting and financial reporting functions, as well as solutions to help them achieve their controls and finance transformation aspirations. Our professionals keep up with emerging regulatory guidance along with industry and business trends to assist financial organizations. We develop solutions to data complexities tohelp our clients achieve optimal finance transformation and meet their digital controllership goals and objectives.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree required in accounting, business, finance or another business-related field

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

• 5+ years of experience improving government accounting and transaction process, internal control objectives and generally accepted accounting principles

• Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley and/or GASB documentation, testing and reporting requirements

• 5+ years of Consulting experience in the following areas: business process improvement, financial management policies and procedures, or financial system integrations

• Ability to travel 50%-80%, on average, based on work you do and the clients and the industries/sectors you serve

Preferred:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification

• MBA

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in California, Colorado, Jersey City, Nevada, New York City, and Washington State, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to California, Colorado, Jersey City, Nevada, New York City, and Washington State and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $165,000 to $249,000.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
