The Cadence Tensilica CPU Processor Team is seeing rapid adoption of our industry leading processor cores and DSP's. Our configurable and extensible processor cores are poised to meet the demands of intelligent IoT Devices at the edge of ML/AI Applications. We are already empowering many of the top chip and system companies with our Audio, Speech, AR/VR, ADAS, Vision and Imaging applications being driven with our processor cores. Duties and Responsibilities:
Leadership role responsible for micro-architecture development and specification of High performance CPU cores.
Owns architecture for the system and works cross-functionally with internal/external stakeholders to drive the definition of requirements (e.g., performance, power, cost).
Lead the micro-architecture definition and drive overall hardware implementation working with Software, RTL, DV and EDA teams.
Be a strong advocate for cycle performance and physical PPA throughout the development cycle.
Collaborate with the Architecture and DV teams on benchmarks to evaluate micro-architecture performance.
Drives the strategic evolution across domains and defines product/technology roadmaps by understanding industry trends, competitors' products and collaborating with senior stakeholders across the business.
Sets guidelines for the department for writing detailed technical documentation, specifications, and/or feature descriptions to ensure different audiences can easily understand. Writes and reviews documentation to ensure it can be easily understood by a variety of audiences.
Expertise in the development of CPU or DSPs or Processor subsystem components. Exposure to AI/ML hardware desirable but not required.
Deep knowledge in the definition of advanced CPU and/or memory subsystem micro-architectures essential. Proven track record in delivering innovative micro-architecture solutions for successful products.
Strong track record in understanding Software and hardware implementation issues.
Experience in working with Architects and design implementation teams is a must.
Requires interfacing with internal global teams.
Proven experience at leading/managing team.
Strong managerial, leadership and interpersonal skills
Master's or Doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 10+ years of relevant processor design experience.
