Job Title: Writer/Editor
Job Description
Under limited supervision, this role coordinates, writes, and edits communication materials and related website content aimed at a diverse audience. Responsibilities include coordinating the monthly newsletter publication cycle—initiating content calls, writing and editing news and feature articles, coordinating subject matter expert review, and preparing the final communication format. Additionally, the position involves writing and editing communication materials and related website and training content in support of project implementations and system/process updates in the Controller's Office.
Hard Skills
Demonstrated experience in writing clear, engaging copy for various audiences
Thorough knowledge of writing, grammar, syntax, style, and punctuation
Knowledge of editorial style and publication guidelines
Proficiency in computer applications for publishing, image handling, and/or web production, including content preparation for web accessibility
Thorough research and fact verification skills
Experience with Drupal or other content management systems
Soft Skills
Thorough interpersonal communication skills, including active listening and effective collaboration
Analytical and critical thinking skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Work Site
This is a fully remote position.
