Position Overview:

In collaboration with product, engineering, researchers, and other partners, you’ll create compelling end-to-end experiences utilizing Zenni’s design system. You’ll create product designs that deliver value for the business and delight users.

Zenni is looking for a self-starter, entrepreneurial Product Designer with a deep skill set in interaction design. Experience in both Mobile App and Web.

You’ll drive the product forward not just by designing what’s on the roadmap but proposing what to build in collaboration with cross-functional partners.

You’re a good fit for this role if you have great storytelling and communication skills and can tackle ambiguous problems and propose elegant and usable design solutions.

As a strong individual contributor to the team, you will drive the future of Zenni forward shipping exceptional designs to a loyal and passionate customer base.

Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership and lead design projects of ambiguous scope from end to end, partnering with product managers, engineers, researchers, and content strategists

  • Deliver flow diagrams, interaction design patterns, design specs, wireframes, information architecture, and prototypes to effectively communicate interaction and design

  • Advance your design rationale backed by user research, data, and industry trends

  • Manage time and project expectations appropriately when working on multiple projects at a time

  • Proactively seek input and feedback on your design work, and contribute constructively to design reviews

  • Business-minded approach to finding win-win solutions for consumers and the business

  • Storytelling and communication skills for various stakeholder audiences

  • Mentoring junior designers and the UX design team as a whole

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience

  • 5-7 years of experience in product design or UX

  • A portfolio with shipped design work

  • Experience working with technical teams in a cross-functional role

  • Respect and Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in analyzing user data and result tracking to identify opportunities and risks

  • Well-versed designing in Figma

  • Mobile App and Website experience

  • Master’s Degree in human centered or user interaction design

As of 01/01/2024, the expected annual compensation range for this position is $140-160,000. Actual pay within this range will be based upon several factors, including without limitation education, work experience, certifications, geographic pay differentials, market conditions, and other business and organizational needs. The Company anticipates that the reasonably expected salary for this position could change in the future and, therefore, the Company retains the right to change, modify, or revisit the salary range for the position for various reasons, including the business needs.
