Robert Half Sr. Accountant in San Francisco, California

Description We are on the lookout for a Sr. Accountant to join our team in San Francisco. The role involves managing multiple priorities in a dynamic and rapidly growing organization. The successful candidate will be required to adapt quickly to change and champion the advancement of policies, structures, procedures, and controls that will enhance the finance function.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the preparation of monthly worldwide consolidation of financial statements, including validation of FX impact and elimination of intercompany activity and balances.

• Prepare and consolidate accounting information reported by legal entities, including preparation of consolidated balance sheet and income statement analytics.

• Handle the preparation of journal entries and reconciliations relating to intercompany transactions and other accounting areas as needed.

• Prepare and review monthly/ quarterly fluctuation analysis over income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow.

• Monitor the progress of the month-end close process, ensuring deadlines are met.

• Research technical accounting issues and draft accounting position memos as necessary.

• Assist in drafting footnotes to consolidated financial statements and prepare related supporting schedules.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support accurate accounting, consolidation, and reporting.

• Manage interaction with outside auditors and project management of annual audit.

• Coordinate global payroll processing across a number of international entities. Requirements • Candidate must hold a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field

• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role

• Strong knowledge of consolidation processes is required

• Proficiency in using accounting software tools and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Must have a strong ethical standard and integrity

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Experience with financial reporting and financial auditing is preferred

• Professional certification (CPA, CMA, etc.) is a plus.
