Role: Senior Writer/Editor -Journalistic writing

Location: SFO, CA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week)

Position type: 12 months with high possibility of extension/ Conversion as FTE

Pay range: $63 - $69/hr on W2 (All inclusive)

Job description:

Client Ventures is seeking a Senior Writer/Editor to help ideate, develop, produce and deliver our thought leadership and marketing content across various channels, including newsletters, social media, and our internal and external websites.

As a key member of the Marketing, Communications & Platform team reporting to our Head of Content Strategy, the candidate will support with:

• Redefining and manifesting Client Ventures’ brand voice;

• Elevating the profiles of our spokespeople, portfolio companies and partners;

• Strengthening our reputation as a thought leader on emerging trends and technologies such as generative AI, cybersecurity, fintech, proptech and more.

The ideal candidate is highly adaptable, inquisitive and possesses the initiative and interpersonal skills to navigate a fast-paced environment with a globally distributed team. This person must be able to juggle multiple shifting priorities, work independently and digest/synthesize complex technical topics quickly and succinctly.

Responsibilities:

• Ghost-writing/editing articles and other content on behalf of Client Ventures’ investors, Client partners, portfolio companies, etc.

• Supporting the end-to-end production of Client Ventures’ content, including:

o Managing visual assets such as stock images and graphics

o Obtaining all necessary approvals prior to publication

o Publishing articles on Client Ventures’ internal and external websites

• Attending and summarizing events held by Client Ventures/featuring our team members

• Assisting with the development and execution of Client Ventures’ brand and content strategies

• Writing web copy, marketing emails, social media posts, etc. as needed

Qualifications:

• Excellent writing and editing skills – work samples required

3-5 years of experience creating and distributing digital marketing content

• Ability to synthesize complex ideas and “translate” technical topics into accessible language

• Tech-savviness, resourcefulness and grit needed to deliver against tight deadlines

• Flexibility to think strategically and implement tactically, and to learn new fields and concepts on the fly

• Demonstrated ability to be a team player, collaborating across functions to drive results

• Social media expertise and basic content management skills

• Subject matter expertise in finance and/or technology a major plus
