Lead programs by achieving alignment on program scope, release planning, as well as aligning one or more teams on vision, business goals, creating program structure, and securing cross-functional alignment.
Drive teams through the Software engineering experience using Agile and demonstrated analytical and technical skills.
Drive Steering Committee meetings with key stakeholders for each program to help make key decisions, remove obstacles, and address key program issues. Be the key driver to ensure business goals are met and drive the strategic vision of each program.
Develop strong partnerships with key functional stakeholders to drive focus on business goals. Be a trusted partner for executive management to ensure program success.
Partner with cross-functional teammates to drive workgroup alignment meetings to address tactical release issues, dependencies, team status, production issues, metrics review, milestones, etc. (cross functional - Product Owners, Scrum Masters, TechOps, Release Eng, Capacity, Functional Managers, Release Management).
Provide visibility to program status (issues, risks, metrics, etc.) on an ongoing basis through push status reporting (to all stakeholders, team members, and interested parties).
Manage "program/feature" dependencies across multiple teams, scrum teams, functions, divisions, and stakeholders.
Anticipate and remove obstacles with a sense of urgency that slow down or prevent project teams from delivering on project goals.
Provide monthly program reviews and updates at sprint reviews (deep dive into current state of project goals, risks, escalations).
Create a collaborative environment that fosters creativity, innovation, and learning.
Be a catalyst within the organization, someone who can help advance our Product & Technology strategy globally and drive others in the organization to change.
6-10 years (Senior TPM)/10-15+ years (Director)/12+ years (Senior Director) of experience leading large scale, enterprise product programs.
6+ years of solution management experience for software or SaaS experience.
3+ years of successfully implementing and managing SaaS product development programs; strong knowledge of the SaaS business model and its product development lifecycle.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with a history of hands-on, detail orientation.
Deep experience with the software development lifecycle; ability to adjust and apply this knowledge in a dynamic environment using agile methodologies.
Ability to establish credibility and rapport with senior executives and technical and non-technical team members alike.
Outstanding organizational, communication, and relationship building skills conducive to driving consensus; able to work well in a cross-functional, matrix management environment.
Experience with Portfolio Management.
Ability to master technical subjects and technologies relevant to the program.
Strong organizational, project management, analysis, and communication skills.

Director, Technical Program Management, Einstein (THIS IS A PEOPLE MANAGEMENT ROLE)
Einstein is the intelligence layer of the world’s most intelligent CRM; it is AI for Salesforce. The Director of Technical Program Management for Einstein will lead a team of TPM's and drive technical program management execution for the Einstein portfolio. This role will partner closely with product and engineering leaders as well as have collaborations/partnerships with other organizations within Salesforce. This person will partner with our Leadership team to drive strategy, in addition to helping to plan, organize, and work with teams to help execute the vision for our key strategic initiatives. This is a people management role.
Senior Manager, Technical Program Management, Availability Cloud Engineering (ACE)
The Senior Manager of Technical Program Management for Availability Cloud Engineering (ACE) will own and drive cross cloud strategic initiatives for Availability Cloud Engineering (ACE)'s four clouds: Monitoring, Availability Insights and Reporting (AIR), Management Tools, and Customer Analytics and Trust (CAT). You will partner with Product, Engineering and our internal partners/customers on program execution and will help to plan, organize, and work with functional teams to deliver business value. In addition, the role will partner closely with the lead TPM in cloud operational & release planning processes. Strong candidates will bring experience including release planning and Agile methodologies spanning multiple scrum teams, deep technical expertise in monitoring & availability technology and enterprise-scale service delivery spaces, as well as executive communication/presentation skills. This is an individual contributor role and has to possibility to be up-leveled to a director level role.
Director, Technical Program Management, Service Cloud Engineering
As our Director of Technical Program Management for Service Cloud Engineering, you will be the operational heartbeat of within our Service Cloud organization and a pivotal member of the Product & Engineering Leadership team. This role will drive programs that span across all of our Service products. This includes driving engineering programs such as improving service availability, operationalizing production health metrics, and driving key enterprise priorities.
As part of the Leadership team, you will assist in the formulation and delivery of our product & engineering vision and roadmap, resource planning, and aligning our priorities to our business objectives and KPIs. You will be operating in a complex business environment where new initiatives, priorities, and programs are the norm. Thus, to be successful in this role, you will need to be strategic, extremely organized, and have a confident command of the organizational landscape in order to anticipate what’s around the corner so that you’re able to set the team up for success. This is an individual contributor role.
Senior Manager, Technical Program Management, Workforce Engagement Management & Service Cloud Voice
This Senior Manager of Technical Program Management will be the operational heartbeat of our Workforce Engagement and Service Cloud Voice organization and a pivotal member of our leadership team. This includes driving operational coordination across Engineering, Product, GTM, Legal/Ethics, and Marketing actions to quickly bring time-sensitive capabilities to market. In this role, the Service Cloud TPM will manage cross-functional teams during the development and release phases of the process, help navigate complex dependencies and timelines, escalate program risks to leadership and mitigate accordingly, and assist in prioritization of deliverables to align with the overall business strategy.
Strong candidates for this role will have experience driving cross-functional initiatives at scale and be well versed in go-to-market motions, product development, cross-cloud collaboration, as well as planning, organizing, and collaborating with teams to execute on product vision and operational excellence. 7-12 years of program management or implementation consulting is desired. This is an individual contributor role.
Senior Manager Technical Program Management, Field Service
The Senior Manager of Technical Program Management for Field Service will drive cross-functional and cross-cloud programs for Field Service. This person will partner with various leadership teams on these program and initiatives in addition to helping to plan, organize, and work with teams to help execute the vision. They will also represent the Field Service + Service Cloud release plan, priorities, and business requirements to groups throughout the organization. Experience in large-scale operational and engineering programs is preferred. This is an individual contributor role and has the opportunity to be up-leveled to a director-level for exceptional candidates.
Director, Technical Program Management, Hyperforce
The Director of Technical Program Management is a key role in a new area within Salesforce Platform. The TPM will work directly with a new GM of Product to develop a product vision, team and roadmap for the Hyperforce program. The TPM drives the operating cadence for Hyperforce through the annual strategy and budget, product release planning and leading the program team. This TPM will also program manage initiatives like region/zone launches, product introductions and product adoption.
The successful program manager has 10+ years of program leadership and management. They are an expert at initiating and operating new programs. This person has proven experience as a partner to executive leaders. And, ideally, candidates have experience with and knowledge of infrastructure and public clouds. This role is an individual contributor role that reports into the head of Platform TPM. This role can be up-leveled up to a senior director role for exceptional coverage.
Director, Technical Program Management, Data Intelligence (THIS IS A PEOPLE MANAGEMENT ROLE)
The Director of Technical Program Management for Data Intelligence will drive the operating model for our Data Intelligence (DI) initiatives. The TPM will work closely with stakeholders across DI and Salesforce product teams to build data products that help Salesforce employees, admins, and partners maximize the value our customers get from Salesforce. As the TPM lead for DI, you will manage a small team of TPMs planning, organizing, and executing key programs including Net Promoter Score, Net Adoption Score, Implementation Health Rating, Customer Success Platform, and more. You will be an integral part of the team, working closely with Data Analysts, Data Engineers, Business Intelligence Experts, and Data Scientists.
The successful candidate is an expert at initiating and operating new programs, ideally with experience in Data Intelligence. This person is a proven partner to both executive leaders and teams to understand the business, advise on strategic objectives, product direction, roadmaps, and growth goals. The TPM will lead decision making and communication cadences and will also facilitate progress updates and leadership alignment. Senior Manager, Technical Program Management, Data Intelligence
The Senior Manager of Technical Program Management (TPM) for Data Intelligence will be part of a newly created team that is tasked to define how Salesforce measures the health of customer implementations and to build data products that help Salesforce employees, admins, and partners maximize the value our customers get from Salesforce. As the TPM supporting this initiative, you will be an integral part of the team, working closely with the Data Analyst along with data engineers, visualization experts, and data scientists. The scope of your work will inform every aspect of this data product — tracking product usage, measuring success, and linking it to business value with the overall goal of shaping a product that delivers actionable insights about our customers’ implementations.
The successful candidate will partner with the team and stakeholders to understand the business and advise on strategic objectives, product direction, roadmaps, growth goals, retention strategies, etc. This person will also develop and own the analytical roadmap for the implementation health product, building and running the programs which include planning and execution with initiative owners. The Senior Manager will also own the flow of communication as well as align partners to drive clear decision making and a high degree of alignment across all partners. This person will also drive the creation of the stakeholder map as well as lead decision making and communication cadences. Finally, the TPM will also facilitate progress updates and leadership alignment. This is an individual contributor role.
Director, Technical Program Management, Cross Cloud
The Director of Technical Program Management (TPM) for Cross Cloud will build and drive the operational backbone of our Strategic Cross Cloud initiatives. This person will run strategic cross-cloud programs and be responsible for partnering with cross-functional and cross-cloud leadership teams to drive the strategy of one or more programs, as well as helping to plan, organize, and work with teams to execute the vision. The Cross Cloud TPM will often be covering new ground within the company and will need to determine how different organizations work, align key people to goals, and be creative in determining how to drive to success, leveraging successful models where they exist and creating processes and best practices where they don't. Senior Manager, Technical Program Management, Trusted Services
The Senior Manager of Technical Program Management for Platform Trusted Services will be responsible for leading strategic cross-functional and operational programs supporting the Trusted Services business. This person will partner with Trusted Services leadership to deliver programs within the product roadmap and drive operational execution across Engineering, Product, GTM, Legal, and Marketing actions to quickly bring time-sensitive capabilities to market. Director, Technical Program Management, Accessibility
The Director of Technical Program Management for Accessibility will own and drive cross cloud strategic accessibility initiatives across Salesforce Technology & Products. This person will combine exceptional program management skills with a passion and deep knowledge of the discipline to make our products more inclusive and accessible. The TPM will provide leadership and operational excellence in partnership with the Product Accessibility team as well as Cloud Engineering, Product Management (PM), and UX teams to deliver on strategic initiatives, such as WCAG compliance, which requires alignment of priorities and coordinated, interdependent product updates from many teams. The TPM will be responsible for helping to plan, organize, and execute the vision for key accessibility programs, driving executive alignment, and keeping all informed on progress. You’ll plan projects, define milestones, assess risks, create actionable insights, create processes, and work with development teams to ensure projects meet deadlines. Strong candidates will have 3+ years of experience leading large, highly complex accessibility programs within mature organizations, an understanding of how to maximize impact in product accessibility utilizing processes and tools, and excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization from individual engineers to senior executives. Senior Manager, Technical Program Management, Customer Data Platform, Marketing Cloud
The Senior Manager of Technical Program Management of Customer Data Platform for Marketing Cloud will drive one of the highest priority initiatives at Salesforce, transforming our technology stack to unify our Customer Data Platform offering across all of Salesforce. This will expand our reach and open up new markets for Salesforce globally. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working on high visibility programs, complex dependencies, and on time product delivery in our three releases a year.
