Department Description

In the Office of Strategic Customer Growth (OSCG) we create & deliver a strategic customer growth vision that will drive predictable long-term value for our customers & transformational big deals for Salesforce AMER at scale. We engage directly with account teams through interactive coaching sessions that provide forums for peer-to-peer learning, expert advisory services, and resource recommendations to help teams drive growth. Our main areas of focus include:

  • Orchestration: Align the entire account team on the opportunities and challenges of the customer

  • Compelling Vision: Build a compelling narrative that portrays our customers’ utopian state, amplified by our products and empowered by our Salesforce team’s plan

  • The full power of Salesforce: provide guidance and recommendations to account teams on who can help, how to collaborate across our business, and the types of assets and deliverables to create compelling value propositions

Role Description

We seek a consulting professional with deep knowledge and experience leading large-scale digital business transformations.

Having experience in several Salesforce digital transformation projects you bring the ability to translate and deliver on the digital vision of an organization hoping to establish itself as an innovative player in the digital world. You have:

  • Defined a digital strategy and brought it to life overseeing an end to end transformation road map, digital operating model, customer journey, development, and roll-out

  • Served as a transformation leader in a business that has been through a transformation and leveraged digital disciplines to ensure successful outcomes

  • Excellent communication skills and comfortable collaborating with business leaders and executives

The Senior Director, OSCG will be a leading force in driving efforts to help our account teams create sustainable growth. The successful candidate will provide strategic thinking and thought leadership to harness our collective Salesforce capabilities to inspire leaders and companies to innovate and transform. They will apply broad technical knowledge, with business acumen to support teams in developing compelling Salesforce value propositions that align with our customers’ business strategies on digital transformation and cloud adoption.

Responsibilities

  • Work with account teams to build compelling vision statements, value-driven strategies, and position Salesforce as a differentiator

  • Collaborate with accounts and work closely across Salesforce to infuse the mentality of leaning in, new skill-sets, and thought leadership to help solve the customer’s need (CSG’s professional services, BVS, Industries, product marketing, etc.)

  • Champion a human-centered, entrepreneurial approach to strategic enterprise transformation with our Salesforce account teams customers, and partners

  • Anticipate the key decisions and change management needed to make progress, craft governance frameworks, and create the organizational alignment and momentum towards a vision

  • Maintain a high-level understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities to advise and inspire teams and customers

  • Continually monitor and share emergent, disruptive trends in technology and business transformation

  • Seek out and act on feedback about the efficacy of our coaching and guidance

  • Synthesize insights from account teams, drive thought leadership, and develop recommended actions that will directly impact the growth of our company.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a consulting environment

  • BA or BS in any field plus relevant job-related experience, MBA preferred or equivalent business experience with demonstrated results

  • Experience taking strategy to implementation; proven ability to define a clear vision and roadmap that is challenging, but achievable and motivating to our customers

  • Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills

  • Ability to build trust and approach problems from a curious, ready-to-learn perspective

  • Strong change manager with the ability to lead a team effectively through ambiguity

  • Able to work creatively and analytically in a time-limited, problem-solving environment

  • Demonstrated love for technology and keeping up with the rapid advances
