We are looking for a Sr. Director to lead two of LinkedIn’s fastest growing lines of business, LinkedIn Ads and LinkedIn Sales Solutions (LSS), representing our B2B digital advertising and sales product portfolios.

This is a newly created leadership role on the Corporate Communications team where you will lead a team of communications professionals, owning the external global communications strategy development and execution for LinkedIn’s GTM-focused businesses. The ideal candidate is highly strategic with a strong understanding of LinkedIn’s customer facing products and solutions, and in particular its products that help enterprises reach their buyers. Demonstrating a global approach to communications and understanding the digital advertising landscape is also critical for this leader given the continuous changes in the macro environment that we need to factor into our ongoing communications strategies.

This role will be responsible for defining and delivering best in class global communications strategies that span LinkedIn Ads and LSS to ensure that we maintain transparency, consistency and trust with our global customers. Your ability to lead through influence and work with senior level executives will be critical to ensure that we develop holistic approaches that tie back to our broader business priorities and objectives. Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the global LinkedIn Ads and LSS external comms team.

  • Set comms priorities and strategies globally across LinkedIn’s ads and sales products portfolio.

  • Implement comms programs across earned media and owned content that are aligned with company priorities, line of business marketing goals, and product initiatives.

  • Serve as the global media relations strategy lead for both lines of business.

  • Oversee the management of strategic and always-on media relations and work directly with reporters from business, ad trade, technology, podcasts, and broadcast media outlets.

  • Own the development of a variety of media-facing materials, including blog/LinkedIn publisher posts, global press releases, product/campaign launch narratives, global messaging documents, Q&As, and executive media briefing materials.

  • Provide comms counsel to internal clients on LinkedIn Ads and LSS executive teams, manage stakeholder expectations and educate as necessary.

  • Work with international, regional and country communications teams to align on global and local comms strategies to support both businesses.

  • Manage agency resources, press tours, LinkedIn customer conferences and other 3rd party events

  • Act as a company spokesperson.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Employee Communications, Global Sales, Integrated and Product Marketing, Public Policy, Legal, etc. across the company.

Basic Qualifications :

  • 15+ years external communications experience

  • 10+ years of enterprise/B2B communications experience

  • 8+ years of people management experience

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Strong leader who has a track record building, inspiring, and leading a high performing team located across multiple countries

  • Experience providing counsel and advice to executives

  • Possess a high degree of integrity and sense of confidentiality

  • Demonstrate managerial maturity and good judgment at all times

  • Organizational skills and an ability to stay on top of multiple projects at once

  • Strategic thinker, able to understand context and connect dots to stay ahead of issues and maximize opportunities

  • Relationship builder with strong business acumen and ability to prioritize around highest impact actions and partner across leadership and communications teams

  • Outstanding writing, editing, and communication skills

  • Experienced public speaker/comfort in conducting media interviews and speaking engagements

  • Proven experience developing strategy for global technology or consumer brands

  • Proven experience in product communications

  • Energetic self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Problem-solver who isn’t afraid to bring a fresh perspective to projects

  • Experience successfully managing issues and crises

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.

The pay range for this role is $192,000 - $300,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
