Insight on your impact
The primary role of the Senior Business Operations Analyst is to drive cross-functional operations projects that support our partners in engineering, product, IT, and customer care organizations. Your role will impact a variety of partners throughout Anaplan. You will be responsible for a variety of forecasting and reporting projects that have a high impact on our ability to build a highly efficient organization.
You will be required to model complex business problems, search for hard-to-find answers, and effectively communicate your insights to our partners. You will use a variety of tools including, Excel, PowerPoint, and Anaplan's own platform to quickly develop models for the important decisions we make daily. Your strong analytics skills and your ability to adapt to a scaling organization will help you be successful. Being able to operate independently and lead in a multifaceted environment is key to this role.
Throughout your time at Anaplan, you will:
Assist teams across our organization by translating engineering data insights into business value.
Develop expertise in a variety of functional areas by using data to support strategic and operational decision-making across Anaplan's GTO organization.
Find and present new opportunities to improve GTO operations by gathering critical feedback on our business processes from partners around the organization.
Present your insights to management and executive leaders.
Develop operations dashboards to supervise and manage critical processes.
Model complex business scenarios using Anaplan and Excel to understand how our decisions will impact our organization and our customers.
Support our planning and forecasting efforts within engineering and product organizations by developing useful metrics and feedback on our performance.
Work with engineering teams to gather data that informs our finance and accounting processes.
Collaborate with finance and accounting organizations to inform critical business processes that help inform our top and bottom lines.
Your qualifications, your influence
To be successful in the role, you should have the following skills and experience:
Bachelor's degree in business (Finance, Operations, Accounting, etc.) or highly technical field (Engineering, mathematics, data analytics, etc.).
Must have 3+ Year(s) working with EPM technologies (Anaplan, Oracle, SAP, etc.).
Must have 2+ Year(s) building and using Anaplan models. You will need to build and use Anaplan models to automate and scale current processes.
High proficiency with PowerPoint, Word, and excel.
The ability to build complex and scalable models and UIs in Excel or EPM tools.
Experience working with large data sets to synthesize insights for management and executive consideration.
Demonstrated complex problem-solving through the ability to lead expert interviews, manage complex data, lead partners, and guide process development to successful outcomes.
The ability to work in a quickly scaling business environment with cross-functional partners.

Preferred skills and technical familiarity
While these skills are not required, they will help get you up to speed quickly:
Advanced degrees in business or data analytics.
Consulting experience or academic research in a technical field (economics, engineering, science, math, etc).
Experience collaborating on complex projects with finance, accounting, product, and/or engineering teams.
Experience leading EPM implementations or design thinking processes.
Change management or project management leadership experience.
