Job Title: Project Coordinator

Job Summary:

The project coordinator is responsible for supporting project managers and teams in the planning, execution, and completion of projects. They assist in coordinating project activities, communicating with stakeholders, tracking project progress, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning: Assist project managers in developing project plans, timelines, and budgets.

  • Coordination: Coordinate project activities, resources, and stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.

  • Communication: Communicate project goals, status updates, and issues to team members and stakeholders.

  • Documentation: Maintain project documentation, including plans, schedules, meeting minutes, and reports.

  • Risk Management: Identify and escalate project risks and issues to project managers for resolution.

  • Quality Assurance: Monitor project deliverables to ensure they meet quality standards and requirements.

  • Budget Tracking: Assist in tracking project expenses and maintaining budgetary controls.

  • Schedule Management: Help manage project schedules, milestones, and deadlines.

  • Team Support: Provide administrative support to project teams, such as scheduling meetings, arranging travel, and managing logistics.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of best practices.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management, or a related field.

  • Experience: Previous experience in project coordination or administration preferred.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello) and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

  • Certification: Project management certification (e.g., CAPM, PMP) is a plus.

Work Environment:

The project coordinator typically works in an office environment, although remote work may be possible depending on the organization's policies. They may need to occasionally travel to project sites or attend meetings with stakeholders.
