We are looking for a smart, passionate, and experienced IT Program Manager with a CAN DO attitude and large spectrum of experience working in a high-tempo constantly evolving environment to join a team that provides class leading live and virtual events for Splunk leaders, customers and employees with the latest AV features that highlight and showcase our products and our leaders to Splunkers and the world. As a Program Manager for the IT Solutions (ITS) PMO, you will do that and more! You will build an end to end plan to drive towards the executive experience. You will schedule and lead Sprint Planning/Reviews, Daily Standups and other team meetings. You'll have the opportunity to work with other ITS teams and Partners. This role is responsible for multiple, simultaneous projects and owns release planning, coordination, risk mitigation, organization, and tracking of those projects through deployment. May require travel to other Splunk offices (10%).

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead IT projects working with delivery and business partners to address project risks and issues ensuring the solution delivers on the success criteria

  • Build the Playbook, plan and coordinate virtual and live events from weekly CEO town halls to annual Customer and Employee Events

  • Negotiate competing requirements across business units and establish project direction with business leaders and delivery leads

  • Bring knowledge of Project Management standard methodologies, processes and tools, including: scope management, schedule management, cost management, quality management, resource management, procurement, change management, risk management, and issues management

  • Build in mitigation plans anticipating dependencies and risks, actively replan with business and delivery teams, and reset expectations throughout project delivery

  • Demonstrate consultative skills in solving problems by using technical and business insight to advise the facilitation of developing objectives and approach

  • Implement goal setting with business owners and senior leaders and contribute to operational alignment

  • Act as an authority by partners within ITS and across the business and has a communication style that builds confidence and alignment with the team

    Requirements: I've already done that or have that!

  • 8+ years’ experience leading IT or software projects

  • Tolerant of ambiguity and thrives in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities

  • Experience with Agile methodologies

  • Very good interpersonal efficiency and communication skills (written and oral)

  • Strong organizational planning skills and understanding of program management concepts

  • Effective and creative in solving problems with an ability to identify issues and resolve, or identify the internal resources needed to assist

  • Eager to learn and excited to work on programs across the ITS portfolio

    Preferred Knowledge and Experience

  • Expertise with JIRA

  • PMO or portfolio management experience in a technology setting

  • Production Management or hybrid (in person and remote) event planning

  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

  • Agile experience or agile certification

    Education

  • BA or BS degree, preferably in Computer Science or Information Systems
