The Data Insights + Analytics group collects, validates, and provides high-quality data to support our supervisory and monetary policy objectives. As an analyst on the Bank Credit team, you will draw upon your knowledge of finance, accounting, economics, and financial data analysis to collaborate with a diverse team whose primary focus is to ensure that financial reporting data collected are fit for its intended use by the Board of Governors and other divisions within the Bank, including Supervision + Credit. These data are also used more broadly by other regulatory agencies and the public.

Highlights of Responsibilities:

  • Collect, validate, and interpret financial reports data to ensure quality, accuracy, and conformity with reporting instructions, accounting principles, and regulations

  • Participate in or contribute to work supporting local or national regulatory reporting review programs through financial risk assessments and/or financial reporting examinations

  • Provide comprehensive responses to questions and requests from officers, managers, and contacts at the Board of Governors

  • Contribute your subject matter knowledge to System workgroups, projects, training, or development of analytical tools

  • Lead data collection efforts as the Report Series coordinator

  • Represent team on cross-functional projects that result in process improvement, increased subject matter knowledge, enhanced analysis, and higher quality of financial data

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you should be able to demonstrate your expertise with financial data analysis, a growth-mindset, and an innovative approach when taking new challenges. Additionally, you exhibit strong behavioral characteristics including leadership, collaboration, influence, and critical thinking. Specific qualifications include:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent certification

  • Typically requires 2+ years of related experience within the banking industry, bank regulatory financial reporting, or auditing of bank financial data

  • Certified Public Accountant or CPA-eligible preferred

  • Big 4 experience is a plus

  • Working knowledge of the FFIEC 031/041/051 and/or FR Y-9C/LP/SP

  • Experience conducting research, reviewing trends, and identifying connections between several information sources

  • Emphasis on building relationships and collaborating with others to achieve expectations

  • Strong communication skills demonstrated by the ability to express complex financial and business concepts, ideas, feelings, opinions, and conclusions orally and in writing

  • US citizenship required

Base Salary Range : Min: $69, 800 Mid : $90,700 Max : $111,700 ( Location: San Francisco )

Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographic and other market data.
