Role Introduction
Cathay Pacific is looking for an individual to join our San Francisco Digital Sales Team. The successful individual will ensure the airline’s direct sales channel maintains and grows a competitive presence in the USA and Canadian market, maximising online traffic and revenue generation. Continuously source and develop new partnerships and manage existing partnerships/platforms that drive commercial value for the direct channel and the airline.
Key Responsibilities
This role will lead the development and implementation of digital sales strategies, build new partnerships that drive commercial growth and optimize the customer journey. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the website, including content creation, user experience, and technical maintenance.
Direct Channel Promotions and Campaigns
Devise and manage campaigns to drive sales when commercially needed and recruit new customers to the airline’s member base
Drive engagement and revenue generation through targeted communications, partnerships and tactical sales
Work with Head Office on regional performance of SEM/SEO activity and drive stronger collaboration with this team to best capture relevant traffic to the direct channel in North America
Manage the quality of content published across the direct channel, including brand, tone of voice, grammar and imagery
Act as a final checkpoint for all sales promotion activity, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all assets produced for all relevant owned and paid marketing channels
Manage budget as it pertains to executed projects/campaigns/partnerships
Partnership Management
Identify and secure external partnerships to drive commercial growth of the direct sales channel, including contract negotiation, (incorporating co-op marketing funds) and implementation
Manage and refine existing partnerships and platforms that are used to drive direct channel revenue
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to carve out mutually beneficial opportunities
Work with the Lifestyle team (co-brand credit card owners)
Work with the Brand marketing team to activate lower funnel sales activity
Work with Head Office Payments team to refine and develop existing payment partners
Develop and Manage a new affiliate network partner ensuring it is positioned correctly in market to attract the right affiliate partners
Website Content and Communication
Oversee the merchandising of air and non-air offers and content in the USA and Canada, ensuring relevance for audience
Master the content management system (Adobe Experience Manager) and support the publishing of quality content with good speed to market
Assist in keeping the local commercial sales calendar up to date and circulated to all relevant internal stakeholders
Emergency & Accident and Crisis Response

Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, Training and Experience
5+ years’ experience in a similar role in an ecommerce, DTC, marketing, project management, business development or partnership environment
Experience in a commercial airline or travel adjacent industry preferred
Proven experience in sourcing and developing new partnerships that have delivered commercial success
Understand the broader sales channel mix and how the direct sales channel fits within it, in the North American region
Excellent written, grammar and communication skills in English
Demonstrable experience in project managing and onboarding a new digital platform or payment method
Strong experience across any part of an affiliate network platform with a desire to develop these skills
Familiarity with Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Analytics, Qliksense, and/or an affiliate network considered very favourable
Time zone consideration: Head Office is in Hong Kong and collaboration with the team there is crucial

Additional Requirements

Salary Range -
The estimated salary range for this role is $104,400 to $135,750 per year. Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location.
