Position Overview

Autodesk is searching for a Design Thinking Practice Lead.

As the Design Thinking Practice Lead you will be instrumental in the transformation of our NEXT team as we embrace design-thinking tools sets to bring human-centered design practices to our tech solutions and bring to life 5-Star experiences for our end users.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Design-Thinking and other human-centered design strategies and methodologies to be incorporated in NEXT program and project design

  • Provide leadership and coaching to the NEXT team (and others in the PPL organization) in the areas of design-thinking; journey-mapping; ideation strategies and prototyping/visualization tools and techniques; structured critiques and

  • Develop MyLearning pathways to keep our team informed and updated on new techniques to enable rapid and effective change across the team

  • Facilitate design-thinking type workshops including zero-based design, MVP, Design studio, etc. with stakeholders

  • Build and maintain PPL-lensed personas to include in product solutions

  • Build and maintain relationships with influential teams across ADSK build interest in our strategy and champion design-thinking across PPL

  • Champion design thinking tools and methods. Evolve Lean UX approaches and solutions to account for industry changes

  • Design and build onboarding training for new team members in order to assist with the adoption and predictable usage of Lean UX and design thinking frameworks

  • Embrace design-thinking toolkits and human-centered design when building content to empower and enable the employee experience

  • Manage and/or participate in special projects as needed

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams in a program management role

  • 3+ years exposure to Design-Thinking techniques and proven ability to embrace design-thinking and other human-centered design practices

  • Experience in designing, planning, and facilitating live and virtual workshops

  • Demonstrated experience leading enterprise level projects and engaging with senior and executive-level leadership

  • Ability to analyze and draw insights from quantitative and qualitative data

  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate sound judgment in ambiguous situations

  • Ability to coach and bring consensus across multiple functions with diverse perspectives

  • Ability to define Program Management strategies and deliver independently, with limited guidance and structure

  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong prioritization and time management skills, with a high degree of flexibility

  • Demonstrated quantitative and qualitative analytical skills paired with hands-on attitude, excellent attention to detail, and good business judgment

  • Design Thinking Certification(s), preferred
