U.S. Mint COIN PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR in San Francisco, California

Summary This position is located at US Mint,San Francisco Mint-MANUFACTURING DEPT/Plant Mgr CA/PRODUCT DIV CA/COINING SECTION. As a COIN PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR, you will work under the direction of the Numismatic Planner who provides general instructions, standard procedures, overall priorities and policies, and relies on the incumbent to control work operations and accomplish an adequate quantity and quality of work. Responsibilities As a COIN PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR, you will: Plan weekly and monthly work schedules and sequence of operations for subordinate workers. Establish deadlines and priorities on the basis of general work schedules and methods and policies established by the Coining Manager. Determine how many assignments can be done concurrently, which ones must be delayed, and the number and types of employees needed, considering skills, personnel, materials, and equipment available and required. Review work in progress or upon completion. Adjust plans, assignments, and methods as necessary to accomplish the work as effectively and economically as feasible. In emergency situations, makes on the spot decisions Requirements Conditions of Employment All employees must wear face masks while on MINT property when required by CDC and Federal guidelines. A one-year probationary period may be required. A one-year supervisory or managerial probationary period may be required. Must successfully complete a background investigation. Public Trust - Background Investigation will be required. Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency. Have your salary sent to a financial institution of your choice by Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer. Federal law requires verification of the identity and employment eligibility of all new hires in the U.S. Shift Work: This facility operates on a 24 hour per day, three-shift basis, 5 days a week. Work schedules may vary and assignment to a specific shift cannot be guaranteed. The successful applicant must be available to work on all three shifts on a rotational basis. May be required to wear safety clothing and/or equipment required by the position. This may include safety shoes, hard hats, hearing protection, gloves, masks, etc. Pass a pre-employment physical examination.
