Cisco Analyst, Sales Planning - Channel & Inside Sales in San Francisco, California

Meraki is seeking a Sales Planning Lead to focus on our Inside and Channel business and to provide scalable tools and insights that will reduce complexity in understanding business trends and opportunity in order to fuel Meraki’s growth.

What you will do:

  • Work with Inside sales leaders and Channel sales leaders to help define sales planning (annual operating strategy & plan) and define important milestones for continuing to grow the business, including strategic projects and working to create and track metrics by which to measure success of Inside and Channel sales

  • Build efficient and scalable tools for Meraki’s sales team, enabling users to access critical analysis and make decisions more intelligently and efficiently

  • Co-lead Meraki’s monthly sales business review, and complete regular deep dives into select areas of the business.

  • Through quantitative and qualitative analysis, understand the key drivers of performance for a high-functioning sales team and work with Meraki Sales leadership to improve performance

  • Serve as a partner and advisor to Inside Sales leadership and Channel Sales leadership to drive operational sales process improvements

  • Lead Monthly Business Reviews with Senior Leadership

  • Design KPIs, Ideate and build reports, and dashboards for sales organization. Conduct in depth analysis to identify areas of potential growth, provide recommended levers for action, and cross-functionally to inspire change

  • Support Data Science project pilots and run the business metrics and insights. Advise on business cases and evolution of programs.

  • Support the evolution of Meraki’s ADR program, collaborating with leadership to set appropriate goals and milestones for success.

  • Collaborate closely with Sales Business Intelligence & Insights analysts and Sales Operations to drive projects that are cross functional

  • Contribute to cross-functional sales initiatives as needed

  • Partner with Meraki’s senior leaders to provide analytical support as needed (<20%)

  • Provide regular global analytics (examples include: monthly Cisco books, pipeline movement reports, etc)

  • Identify new metrics for Meraki sales leadership to develop a deeper understanding of the business, following through to build a cadence around reviewing the metric and format for visualizing/understanding the information.

  • Provide a quarterly assessment of the resilience of the tools and analyses you are leading, identifying ways to ensure your impact outlasts your tenure in the role.

  • Build positive relationships across Meraki BU, Meraki Sales, and Cisco to ensure we have strong alignment in our analytical definitions and are learning from standard methodologies across different parts of the business.

  • Positive and have a can-do attitude and a sense of humor

What we’re looking for:

  • 7+ years of validated experience

  • Strong quantitative analysis and logical reasoning skills

  • Robust project management skills

  • Expert in Microsoft Excel, SQL, relevant programming languages

  • Scaling out MBR automation

  • Expanding analytics portal and working with appropriate stakeholders to increase adoption across more of the business

  • Understanding trial trends including identifying what products are most effective…

  • Creating a framework for understanding our SP business

  • Expanding on tech partner influencing project

  • Defining new business metrics

  • Developing a process for better understanding vertical penetration
