SUPERIOR COURT OF CALIFORNIA, S F ADMINISTRATIVE ANALYST III in San Francisco, California

POSITION OVERVIEW

This position will be assigned to the Business, Planning and Research unit within Fiscal Services, working with the Chief Data Officer in developing SQL queries for multiple data systems, building data dashboards in Power BI, and resource allocation modeling. The position manages program data and conducts specialized research and analyses. Manages all aspects of meetings including, but not limited to, planning and developing agendas and preparing briefing documents, meeting reports, minutes, and other meeting materials. Performs administrative and analytical assignments including, but not limited to program and performance analyses, and special projects; collects information on special issues, preparing analysis of data and developing reports as assigned; organizes information for formal presentations and makes presentations as directed; performs cost analyses to plan for future expenditures; assists with a variety of special projects as assigned. Work is performed in an office environment with continuous contact with Judicial Officers, staff, outside agencies, and the public. Typical Physical Requirements: Sit for extended periods; frequently stand and walk; normal manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination; lift and move objects weighing up to 25 lbs.; corrected hearing and vision to normal range; verbal communication; use of office equipment, including computer, telephone, calculator, copiers. Must be able to travel within San Francisco for work-related meetings.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Any combination of training and experience which would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required knowledge and abilities would be: Three years of progressively responsible professional analytical work experience, preferably in a governmental setting, performing work duties related to project management, public outreach, administrative support and services, program tracking and data entry, and facilities management.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS A bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, public administration, or a closely related field is highly desirable. Knowledge of: Functions, organizations, programs, and policies of the Court and an assigned unit or division. Research and information-gathering techniques. Project management and coordination. Statistical methods and analysis. Performance measures such as workload measures and terminology. Public and community outreach principles. Development of SQL queries. Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Other statistical software products (such as Power BI), including the ability to structure complex formulae. Ability to: Plan, organize, and coordinate various data analytical functions of an assigned area of Court operations, such as SQL query development, dashboard construction, and data analytical research. Perform a wide variety of analytical work and research assignments. Oversee, coordinate, and execute projects to their conclusion. Organize statistical and narrative information in a clear, concise manner. Schedule and manage meetings with different work units and summarize and process qualitative and quantitative information obtained from them. Gather, maintain, and analyze a variety of information regarding division or unit operations and functions. Administer surveys and work with survey data. Organize and present ideas and recommendations both orally and in writing. Interpret State, Federal, and local laws, codes, and regulations regarding the area of assignment. Gather, maintain, and analyze a variety of information regarding division or unit operations and functions. Prepare comprehensive, clear reports. Operate a computer and use appropriate software in the performance of administrative and analytical work. Effectively represent the San Francisco Superior Court and an assigned unit with the ublic, other Court staff, and other government agencies. Maintain confidential information when required by legal or ethical standards. Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
