PerkSpot Part-Time Office Assistant in San Diego, Illinois

PerkSpot is searching for a Part-Time Office Assistant to join our team! We are seeking a reliable and organized Part-Time Office Assistant to maintain a clean, professional, and welcoming office environment. The ideal candidate will ensure the office runs smoothly and provide occasional personal support to the CEO for basic tasks. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys varied tasks and has a proactive, can-do attitude. PerkSpot’s CEO works primarily from an office in Solana Beach, CA.

The ideal person will be friendly, personable, action-oriented, and flexible. You will be expected to create a positive and welcoming environment for guests and staff working from the office, while occasionally working offsite running light errands. The role requires some multi-tasking as well as exceptional communication and organizational skills.

Part-Time: 20-30 hours per week

Hourly Pay: $30 - $40/per hour, depending on experience

What you’ll accomplish:

Office Maintenance & Support:

  • Ensure the office is clean, tidy, and presentable at all times.

  • Prepare for and welcome guests and any special events that may be happening at the office.

  • Manage office supplies, including ordering, restocking, and maintaining inventory. There is a very small kitchen nook as well that needs to be stocked with coffee, snacks, and drinks as needed.

  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages, including occasionally offsite at our CEO’s home in the area.

  • Assist with preparing conference rooms and ensuring equipment is working properly and ready for use.

    Personal Support to CEO:

  • Run occasional errands, such as picking up packages, dropping off documents, or purchasing supplies.

  • Assist with managing bookings and scheduling for the office itself – this role will not require significant calendar or scheduling management for the CEO himself who also has a Personal Assistant.

  • Provide general administrative support to the CEO and/or guests in the office, as may be required.

    General Administrative Duties:

  • Answer emails and inquiries from guests and colleagues.

  • Assist with occasional special projects or tasks as assigned.

    What we’re looking for:

  • Prior experience in an office environment or similar role is preferred.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.

  • Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.

  • Proficiency in basic office software (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Slack etc.).

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for running errands.

  • High level of reliability and discretion, particularly when handling personal tasks for the CEO.

    Working Hours: This is a part-time position with flexible hours between 20-30 hours per week. The schedule can be arranged to suit both the candidate and company needs but may require occasional flexibility to accommodate specific tasks or errands.
