ASM Global Usher (U) in San Diego, California

Job Summary ASM Global, a leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate part-time Usher opening at Pechanga Arena in San Diego, CA. The Usher position has a lot of interaction with our guests during events, and as such, must provide excellent customer service and exceed our guests' expectations. The Usher is responsible for adequately checking guests' tickets as they enter the seating areas, concourses, and other areas of the facility. The Usher is also responsible for providing general assistance and customer service to guests as needed in a friendly and helpful manner. Responsibilities Greet and interact with all guests in a welcoming and friendly manner. Ushers generally work one of two positions as directed by management depending on business need: Ticket Taker or Section attendant. Direct guest to their ticketed seats, or to the appropriate seating section. Enforce facility policies (i.e., no smoking, no re-entry) by monitoring stairs and sections. Proactively approach guests that may have a question, difficulty, or complaint. Monitor seating area for guests who may not be in the correct area. Keep aisles and stairs clear of guest while the event is in progress. Answer guest questions concerning the event and/or facility. Effectively and calmly handle complaints, disturbances, or related problems with guests. Remain calm and direct guests to the designated area of safety in the event of an emergency. Other duties and unexpected needs as assigned by management. Qualifications Candidates must be 18 years of age or older. High school degree or equivalent is required. Must be able to communicate clearly, have a friendly disposition, and a smile! Previously demonstrated strong Customer Service experience is required. Candidates must be able to stay calm in the stressful and fast-paced environment of an arena. Experience in handling conflict in a friendly and effective manner is preferred.
