Strong background at least two of analog circuit design, physics, digital signal processing, estimation, machine learning, or mathematical modeling
Multi-disciplinary understanding of EE, ME, and Physics principles
High proficiency in prototyping/analysis scripting languages like MATLAB/Python
Experience in modeling complex cross-disciplinary sensing systems
Experience with sensor interfacing, signal conditioning, and signal-to-noise analysis
Hands-on experience in system-level design of imaging or sensing systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent critical analysis, statistical analysis, and logic/problem solving skills
You will be developing and validating advanced architectures to ensure sensor system performance. This will involve developing comprehensive sensor system models with block-level and end-to-end simulations of sensor modules. You will analyze sensor architectures, assess algorithm performance and HW requirements, and engage in sensor technology scoping, prototyping, corner performance bounding and development investigations. With experience, you will be expected to drive key initiatives and champion them to closure. This will include problem solving across various functions and disciplines. Development and negotiation of cross-functional requirements to ensure module performance will be a key part of the role, and as such you will collaborate closely with Electrical Engineering, Firmware Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering teams, to create state-of-the-art sensor solutions. Further responsibilities include: Develop detailed sensor module and algorithm architecture specifications Analyze engineering and production data sets in order to validate system models Use system models to predict corner performance in representative user scenarios Author regular technical communications for executive and cross-functional briefings Failure mode analysis, root cause diagnosis, and system-level problem solving
Education & Experience
MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Physics, or industry experience equivalent 10+ years industry experienceanalog circuit design, physics, digital signal processing, estimation, machine learning, or mathematical modeling
