Philips Supplier Quality Manager in San Diego, California

Supplier Quality Assurance functions in Auditing and Maintenance of Approved Supplier Lists for PHILIPS Businesses supported from North America and Latin America.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • The SQ Manager is responsible for the selection and qualification of suppliers, and the maintenance of the supplier folders to demonstrate proper status in Approved Supplier List. The SQ Manager is accountable for supplier compliance to Purchasing Controls and conformance to PHILIPS requirements established via agreements.

  • The candidate will be part of a team to support qualifications and ASL maintenance, ensure that suppliers meet the requirements for use in Approved Supplier List. In doing so, the candidates will adhere to policies and procedures set forth by the Business Units, and with the Philips Excellence Process Framework.

  • The selected candidate will be tasked with engaging with suppliers located in the Americas: North America, Central America and the Caribbean; South America. Travel to supplier sites is required 40%-50% of the time.

You're the right fit if:

  • You’ve acquired 3+ years of experience in Quality auditing. General Quality knowledge is required to measure supplier performance, understand Corrective Action and Preventive Action to support requests for Supplier Corrective Action (SCAR).

  • Your skills include auditing techniques, understanding of process validation documentation, comprehension of typical manufacturing processes (molding, RF welding, machining, automated assembly, sterilization among others).

  • Your computer proficiency is in Microsoft® Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and others; ability to learn custom tools and/or familiarity with RSA Archer, PTC Windchill, Appian is desirable.

  • You have at least a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or a related field.

  • You possess external training in Lead Auditing. ASQ Certification is highly desirable (Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Quality Auditor, Certified Biomedical Auditor)

  • You’re a self-motivated individual who can plan, schedule, execute audits and deliver audit reports on time to plan.

  • Can conduct audits in Business language English; additional languages may be useful given the travel to places where Spanish, Portuguese, and French may be spoken & written.

  • You are flexible for travel and possess a valid passport to travel within the Americas when required.

Philips Transparency Details

The pay range for this position is$89,376 to $153,216 annually. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.
