Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum):

$30.918 - $38.648 - $46.377

The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position.  The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices.

What You Will Do

Direct and manage non-clinical staff on the day and evening shifts and manage staff and enforce an effective system, which accommodates all patients who are examined in Diagnostic Imaging in a timely and efficient manner. Meets Imaging operational standards by contributing information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and patient-service standards; resolving problems; identifying system improvements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.

  • 2 Years related medical experience.

  • 2 Years supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 Years insurance and registration experience.

  • Experience with Cerner applications including Cerner, Touchworks, GE scheduling.

  • 2 Years in a leadership role in a patient call center

Essential Functions

  • CommunicationProvides ongoing and timely communication to management and staff regarding site non-clinical performance, staff performance, events, issues, etc.Administers quality programs and meets or exceeds key quality and productivity measures in patient service, customer service, access, clinical programs, and administrative functions.Leads regular staff meetings and employee one-on-one discussions.Maintains staff retention by implementing effective retention strategies.Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Customer service and teamworkInterfaces with Imaging site supervisors, leads and/or all technical and administrative staff to ensure effective teamwork and efficient center operations.Achieves customer service objectives by contributing customer service information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying customer service trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.Implements strategies to promote teamwork within all imaging sites and with other associates including management and radiologists.Improves customer service quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes; establishing and communicating service metrics; monitoring and analyzing results; implementing changes.Supports staff, ensuring highest level of patient satisfaction.Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Daily operationsDirectly supervise non-clinical staff across all Sharp Rees-Stealy Imaging staff.Remains visible at all imaging locations and has an understanding of a site's morale and workload.Maintains a safe environment for patients, staff and radiologists.Oversees and assists in training of new staff, providing resource and technical expertise.Makes recommendations on technologies that will enable a more efficient workflow.Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Human resource managementParticipates in staff planning and hiring process along with management.Monitors and approves timecards.Ensures compliance with all HIPAA guidelines.Establishes staff schedules to provide for planned time off, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and adequate center coverage.Manages staff performance evaluations, compensation recommendations and development of staff including performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions and/or termination of staff.Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
