Our team is seeking two Study Operations Assistants who can work 25 or more hours a week to support a large-scale military research program in San Diego. These positions will work closely with the Survey Operations teams to execute funded research projects that collect data from servicemembers to better understand how different military-specific factors and pre-existing conditions impact retention, readiness, and health. The selected applicants will complete tasks including responding to participant phone calls and emails, scanning surveys and validating scanned responses, keep organized files and records.

We are specifically looking for candidates with previous experiences working in an office, research, and/or a military environment. The position is located on-site, and there is no option to telecommute. We are open to candidates who require a flexible schedule, as long as they are able to work a minimum (on average) 25 hours a week in the office from Monday-Friday during the hours of 6:30am to 5:00pm.

Responsibilities :

• Analyzes actual and predictable interacting operational activities of a military, governmental, or business system to obtain a quantitative, rational basis for decision-making, policies, or resource allocation in support of the client's goals and objectives

• Utilizes basic to extremely complex modeling and measurement techniques, mathematics, statistical methods, and other principles in the laws of scientific and economic disciplines in determining solutions

• Provides integral support in the requirements determination, conceptualization, design, development, testing, verification and validation, documentation, and implementation of modeling and simulation-based decision support system applications

• Receives predetermined work assignments with specific instructions

• Works on problems of limited scope

• Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained

• Contributions are usually limited to assignment-related activities

• Decisions and achievements may have a direct effect on the project schedule

• Interacts daily with supervisors and/or functional peer groups

• Interaction normally involves the exchange or presentation of factual information

• Under close supervision, the individual performs the routine aspects of the assignment requiring knowledge and application of basic principles

  Basic Hiring Criteria :

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Minimum 1 year of work experience

  Desired Qualifications :

• Associate's degree with education in Social Science

• Flexible

• Reliable transportation

• Reliable telecom

• Strong reading and writing

• Capable of establishing a good rapport

• Previous experience with the military and familiarity with Human Subject research
