Intuit Staff Software Engineer in San Diego, California

Overview

We're looking for a talented individual to join our Security Engineering team with a focus on using AI technologies, AWS, Kubernetes, Active Directory, and Ansible. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established company and be part of a highly progressive and transformative IT team. Overall your responsibilities will be focused on the design, management, security, cloud build-out, and support aspects of the Active Directory environment, with a focus on using AI to secure, automate and support Domain Controller build and management both on-premise and in the cloud. As Intuit’s Active Directory supports the workforce and our mission critical production environment, it is essential that shared services be maintained at the highest levels. Ensuring the security, integrity, and availability of AD based services are key responsibilities for this role.

What you'll bring

  • Proven experience as a Cloud Operations Engineer or a similar role, MUST HAVE AWS, Active Directory, Ansible

  • Experience in emerging AI technologies

  • Comfortable with Agile methodologies

  • Knowledge of scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, or similar tools

  • Building tools for deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of system resources in an AWS environment

  • In-depth knowledge of cloud automation and configuration management tools, such as Terraform, Ansible, Cloud Formations

  • Solid understanding of microservices architecture, containerization, and orchestration using Kubernetes

  • Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux, IIS, SQL

    Desired:

  • Extensive experience with Windows Server 2008/2012/2016/2019

  • Experience administering Active Directory in a highly available enterprise environment (45,000+ users accounts) with multi-forest model

  • Experience in enabling services: DNS, SMTP, DHCP, AD Trust Relationships, and PKI Certificates and SSL

  • Advanced hands-on experience with security/management of GPOs, Security, Authentication, Replication, Sites & Services, RSAT Tools, etc.

  • Strong technical project management skills

How you will lead

  • Participate in the management, security, and support aspects of the current and next generation Active Directory environment.

  • Build and implement scalable, highly performant and robust systems solutions that provide great user experience.

  • Innovate / create / design / develop / evolve enterprise security applications, RESTful API’s, prototypes, or proofs of concept (POC’s), incorporating AI technologies where applicable

  • Maintain and develop Domain Controller build and management both on-premise and in the cloud.

  • Develop, configure, and implement solutions for a highly-available large-scale enterprise Active Directory environment

  • Ensure thorough testing of solutions for functionality and compatibility.

  • Communicate, document, and distill technical information to team members and partner organizations.

  • Diagnoses and troubleshoots complex technical issues.

  • Provide 3rd level support for Microsoft Server and Active Directory for end users, application and administration teams, including critical incidents.
