Clinical Sequencing Division (CSD)

Location: US remote

How will you make an impact?

The Software Product Manager will provide leadership for software products and solutions in the Clinical Sequencing Division (CSD) of Thermo Fisher Scientific. This person will manage on-market software and develop new software products and solutions focused on NGS Oncology applications. S/he will be responsible for development of product strategy, definition, positioning, and management of product lifecycle for research and clinical software.

What will you do?

  • Leads software development process from concept through commercialization, including voice of customer research, definition of customer and product requirements and value proposition

  • Manages global product launches including sales & support training.

  • Works collaboratively with other members of Thermo Fisher Scientific team to drive growth for the business segment

How will you get here?

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Master’s degree or PhD preferred inBioinformatics / Computer Science, Life Sciences, Business Administration with 3 years experience

Experience

  • 5+ years experience with software product management or Master’s/PhD with 3+ years experience.

  • Experience with Lab and Hospital IT systems – LIMS, EMR, EHR systems.

  • Familiarity with genomics, Next Generation Sequencing (NGs) analysis & reporting software.

  • Background / experience in Oncology preferred.

  • Knowledgeable about software development with focus in scientific and diagnostic software development

  • Customer facing experience including technical sales, product support, product specialist or product management.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to effectively communicate value proposition and technical information to a range of customer and internal audiences.

  • Self-directed, persistent, and goal-oriented

  • Ability to work collaboratively with global cross-functional teams

  • Up to 20% Travel (international and domestic) is required.
