Description

APPLE INC has the following available in San Diego, California. Develop and implement software tests for external and internal applications to help support and maintain the high quality bar for these applications. Create test plans, execute on those plans and communicate results to business leadership via regular reports, including UI/UX, integration, performance, regression and end-to-end tests. Manage and escalate blocking issues that would prevent defined use cases and tests from passing. Identify and work with any other cross-functional development and testing teams to ensure that end to end the product works as expected. Develop and and build automated testing to help maintain software quality. Understand and plan testing for iOS and Watch OS Applications, including new features. Work with cross functional teams to ensure end to end testing. Track and understand issues through the project life cycle to ensure all issues are fully corrected and/or understood. Monitor and assess customer feedback for issues by reviewing specific reports from customers and attempting to reproduce issues. Develop and optimize new testing systems, including automation testing. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $166,600 - $250,600/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

  • 3 years of experience with each of the following skills:

  • Software Testing experience, including defining test coverage, creating, executing and maintaining test cases.

  • Experience with test types, including, UI/UX, integration, performance, regression and end-to-end tests.

  • Debugging experience, including reading unix/linux console/debug logs and comparing log entries to source code.

  • Operation systems experience, including using and testing mobile operating systems, and understanding unique constraints of mobile operating systems vs web/API only testing.

  • Test Automation experience, including creating automated versions of test cases to maintain quality and increase test coverage.

  • Writing technical reports, communicating test results and working cross functionally to improve test scores and lead teams to build better software.

  • Unix/Mac command line experience to debug logs and execute tests/run software manually on devices under test.
