The Software Quality Engineer II will be a member of the Quality engineering team working in the development and support of Alaris Infusion products. Software Quality Engineers are expected to work with other members of the engineering staff to provide technical systems level expertise, process guidance, and solutions to engineering problems. The Software Quality Engineer II will participate in the creation of V&V plans, change impact assessments, design reviews, and other project documentation.

Job Summary:

The Software Quality Engineer II will be a member of the Quality engineering team working in the development and support of Alaris Infusion products. Software Quality Engineers are expected to work with other members of the engineering staff to provide technical systems level expertise, process guidance, and solutions to engineering problems. The Software Quality Engineer II will participate in the creation of V&V plans, change impact assessments, design reviews, and other project documentation.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Develop Verification and Validation plans for new product and design change projects.

  2. Participate in requirements development, systems and software level document reviews. Provides feedback to improve system verification and document quality.

  3. Execute verification in accordance with defined development procedures.

  4. Provides technical leadership to sub-project teams - Takes a leadership role in design reviews as they pertain to software quality.

  5. Works with management and development teams to establish best practices.

  6. Adheres to defined development procedures.

  7. Generates high-quality work products.

  8. Functions well in a team environment.

  9. Demonstrates good design practices.

Education and Experience

  • B.S. in Engineering

  • Minimum 3 years engineering experience in medical device industry.

  • Experience with Medical Device Software regulations is required.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience in verification and validation processes and software development life cycles.

  • Familiar with systems engineering processes, including requirements flow and decomposition.

  • Familiar with risk management techniques.

  • Working knowledge of requirements management tools.

  • Able to work in a cross functional team environment.

  • Experience with a documented product development process or familiarity with FDA and ISO standards is a plus.

  • Good communication skills

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Good team player

There are many factors, such as location, that contribute to the range displayed. The salary offered to a successful candidate is based on experience, education, skills, and actual work location. Salary ranges may vary for Field-based and Remote roles.

Salary Range Information

$79,000.00 - $130,400.00 USD Annual
