Intuit Senior Software Quality Analyst in San Diego, California

The Quality Center of Excellence is the hub for complex software development teams, sitting at the cross between engineering, product management, design, and analytics. Our goal is to create an environment that accelerates high quality software development for over 1,000+ engineers through tools, best practices, and a culture of quality.

The Consumer Group Quality Center of Excellence is looking for a quality assurance expert to join our team as a Sr. Quality Analyst. The Sr. Quality Analyst will work closely with the Product Development teams to coach and embed Quality best practices. This role requires a professional with a keen eye for details who can work resourcefully and efficiently to assure quality of programs, software and systems. In addition, knowledge of industry standard quality tooling is required. The Senior SQA Analyst is responsible for generating test plans that ensure the traceability of requirements, keeping tabs on abnormal conditions in environments, addressing escalated issues, aiding in the tracking of metrics and monitoring the testing coverage of defect queues.

What you'll bring

  • 5-7 years’ experience in software development

  • Strong leadership experience

  • BS in accounting, computer science or equivalent work experience

  • Detailed documentation of defects found during test execution

  • Reporting of test execution results

  • Facilitate quality analysis of their product area

  • Recommend Product improvements

  • Analyze functional requirements

  • Demonstrated track record of effective problem-solving required

  • Strong oral and verbal communication skills required

  • Knowledge of SQL, JavaScript and HTML preferred

  • Expertise in test design, test plan and test case creation/execution

  • Analysis of specifications, inclusive of supportability, usability, and testability

  • Contributions into Automation Framework Requirements

  • Generate recommendations and advocacy for Quality best practices

  • Use Data in Root Cause Analysis and regression requirements for customer facing defects

  • Solid understanding of SDLC, especially Agile, and experience in leading a team throughout the entire SDLC

  • Define test strategies and implementation, analyze new product testability and deliver test solutions to support the new product offering

  • Continuously improve processes by introducing test processes, monitoring functional test yield, and taking corrective actions

  • Excellent oral and verbal communication skills required to facilitate interactions with development teams, leaders and business units across Intuit
