We are looking for a Senior Human Resources Generalist.

At Mitchell International, our HR team is highly collaborative, creative, and passionate about the work we do to further our mission through our people practices. We are seeking a professional to join the HR team in an exciting, high-impact role where they will serve as the Sr. HRG for our growing Casualty Solutions Group (700 employees). This position reports to the Vice President of People & Workplace (HR) based in San Diego, CA.

Responsibilities:

  • Partners with our COEs (Benefits, Compensation, Talent Acquisition, HRIS, Employee Communications, and Talent Acquisition) to deliver effective HR support and programs to the business.

  • Assist in implementation and adoption of core HR programs for the business including talent reviews, engagement surveys and YE pay planning.

  • Provides advice and guidance on all aspects of performance management including career development, coaching and terminations when appropriate.

  • Implements professional development plans that advance skill-set with a view to future workforce needs.

  • Lead specific project work as determined by both business priority and HR initiatives to drive results.

  • May lead important learning and development initiatives, including facilitation of on-line or in-person training courses.

  • Works in collaboration across multiple sites in the coordination and integration of initiatives across multiple functions and geographies.

Education & Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field of study.

  • Minimum of 8 years of recent and relevant experience providing a variety of generalist and support services within a human resources environment.

  • PC skills in Windows suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), experience with Dayforce and SharePoint is a plus.

  • Other:

  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills

  • Collaborative and passionate about HR’s role in driving business results

  • Comfort with ambiguity, intellectual curiosity and an orientation for learning.

  • Flexibility in responding to unanticipated situations and excellent time management skills

  • Ability to effectively interact and communicate with multiple levels and disciplines

  • Proven ability o adapt to changing situations, self-awareness and cultural sensitivity

  • Proactive approach to problem solving

  • Strong work ethic and willingness to take ownership for wide-ranging responsibilities

  • Strong sense of urgency, initiative and drive

  • Ability to address issues and take action without significant direction, work independently and have a good sense of when to escalate issues and gain other perspective and alignment
