Join our Release Validation team as a Release Validation QA Engineer and be part of a team responsible for ensuring that our OTA software updates for visionOS are of the highest quality. You will work with a large-scale automation fleet, using scripting and manual testing to ensure that our updates are flawless for our customers. You will perform QA testing at various software milestones to ensure the quality and features of visionOS ship to our customers. This is a fast-paced environment where your expertise in validation and attention to detail will help ensure that our customers always receive the best experience possible. Key Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in Release Validation, Quality Assurance or a related field.

  • Strong understanding of testing methodologies, and experience with large-scale automation testing.

  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Shell.

  • Familiarity with OTA software updates and mobile device technology.

  • Experience with manual testing and troubleshooting, as well as the ability to perform OTA software updates manually.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Highly organized, creative, motivated, and passionate about achieving results.

  • Creative thinker and strong problem solver with meticulous attention to detail.

  • A passion for user-focused design & high-quality products.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to facilitate close interaction with development teams, management, and other organizations within Apple.

  • Ability to work independently and alongside peers.

Description

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all OTA software updates for visionOS are of the highest quality. Our team works closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, project managers, and quality assurance engineers, to develop and execute test plans, scripts, and automated tests. In addition, you will perform manual testing, including OTA updates, to ensure that our updates are flawless. You will also troubleshoot issues as they arise, using your expertise in testing methodologies to provide solutions that maintain the highest quality standards.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred but not required. Relevant work experience or equivalent education will also be considered.

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $102,000.00 and $212,200.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
