Overview

WHO YOU ARE AT PANASONIC:

To build and manage global procurement model for Panasonic factories with value added support & account management from receiving new orders, working with vendors & all parties involved to ensure procurement SCM & customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Procurement operation management

• Analyze customer needs and provide value added service to consolidate procurement functions of Panasonic factories to maximize efficiency

• Control inventory and delivery, checking inventory and balance purchase order status, negotiating with suppliers and customers and cooperating with business associate (warehouse, logistics companies)

• Control logistics cost and business process cost referring to business rule.

• Summarize monthly P & L and balance sheet figures for each in-charge account

Procurement data analysis

• Analysis of data and then determining the best way to represent it visually to managers and Panasonic factories.

• Gather and interpret data in order to solve a procurement problem . (Python Programming language) Especially needs to discuss with Panasonic Business Division.

Admin

• Maintain the computer system master data (customer, vendor & product) including price, minimum order quantity, delivery lead time, etc.

• Ensure timely collection of account receivables from customers

• Ensure timely payment of invoices to suppliers, freight & warehouse companies

Qualifications

MUST-HAVES:

Education & Experience

• Prefer 3-5 years Global procurement experience or/and Data analysis experience

• BA\BS in International Business or/and Computer Science preferred

• Must be proficient with MS Office suite, particularly with Excel (Python preferred)

• Business level Japanese- required

• Experience work in Procurement or/and Logistic industry

• Passion to create new solution of global procurement and supply chain

Communications

• Key communications contacts (internal/external) and level of persuasion required

• Must have the ability to effectively communicate in English (Listening, speaking, writing & reading).

• Communication skill in Japanese language Preferred

Other Requirements

• Overnight travel as business needs require

• Ability to work extended shifts, evenings and weekends as business needs require

• Team work spirit

The salary or hourly wage range of $55k-66k is just one component of Panasonic’s total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives. *The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.
