Tactical Engineering & Analysis, INC Operations Control Center Specialist in San Diego, California

Overview

We are currently seeking an Operations Control Center Specialist to support Link 16 SSA capabilities at NIWC Pacific.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions/Job Duties:

  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) for access control (Operation Control Center - OCC), scheduling and training.
  • Provide for the day-to-day administrative activities supporting standard operating procedures to include execution services and documentation for user support, asset planning, scheduling, security, safety, and facilities and coordinate training efforts to properly schedule and manage all training events.
  • Serve as the Lab OCC representative to provide customer service and direct interface to laboratory users for their establishment of asset configurations and accomplishment of systems engineering, development, and test event objectives.
  • Support laboratory test event processes in the coordination and scheduling of assets with lab management and users.
  • Implement knowledge of TS/SCI SCI operations and laboratory security and access policies and procedures to document and control access of personnel, equipment, and electronic media to all classified spaces.
  • Maintain security boundaries, lab access, lab access database; verify personnel clearances, conduct scans on media, and manage security containers to include safes and vaults.
  • Follow laboratory open and closing guidelines for secured lab spaces and activate/deactivate alarms. Coordinate with NIWC Pacific laboratory management and security personnel for physical security.
  • Support safety and evacuation procedures as defined by NIWC Pacific policies or instructions. Monitor, report, document, and take appropriate action on safety incidents in accordance with standard operating procedures for fire, medical, flooding, hazardous material, and power loss.
  • Coordinate, monitor, report, and document status for ongoing activities related to laboratory Power, Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC).
  • Document laboratory operations activities and provide consolidated status reports documenting laboratory technical, maintenance, and field engineering activities.

Equipment Used:

Generic PC Workstation.

Typical Working Conditions:

  • General office environment
  • Computer/Equipment lab.

Essential Physical Tasks:

  • Potential to travel domestically 5-15% of the time.
  • Ability to lift 10 lbs on an occasional basis.
  • Ability to use a computer and mouse on a consistent basis.

Written Communications:

  • Operates standard computer based business tools (including but not limited to Microsoft Word and Excel) effectively.
  • Independently generates documentation that presents ideas and/or information in a logical manner. Able to organize the information and use the best methods and/or formats for its delivery.

Verbal Communications:

  • Demonstrates excellent clear and concise verbal communication skills.
  • Active communicator - giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate.
Qualifications

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience.

Customer Interface Activities:

  • Suitable inter-personnel and customer service skills required to interface with customers.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with the customer, NIWC Pacific Center's staff, and peer contractor personnel.

Project Management / Staff Supervision Tasks:

  • Follows Government, company, or project processes and approval methods.
  • Ability to follow clear established process and team priorities.

Work Schedule:

  • 9/80
  • Must have ability to work within company and customer schedule requirements which may vary depending on criticality and necessity of a given task.
  • The ability to work non-standard work hours and schedules in suppor of project requirements.

Minimum Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required
  • STEM degree preferred

Pay Range:$75,000.00 to $85,000.00 annually, DOE

U.S. Citizenship is required

Security Clearance:

Candidates must have an active Secret clearance OR the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance, and will be subject to a US security background investigation (i.e. favorable background investigation / credit score). Additional eligibility requirements for access to various levels of classified information may also be required. An active security clearance is highly desirable.
