Description

We are assisting a well-established law firm in their search for a skilled Legal Biller. This role is crucial in ensuring the accurate and timely billing of legal services, maintaining compliance with billing guidelines, and supporting the firm’s financial operations. The position is contract or contract-to-hire, offering an excellent opportunity for professionals with legal billing experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and generate client invoices based on time entries and expense reimbursements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client billing guidelines.

• Review and edit billing entries for accuracy, including time, expenses, and narrative descriptions.

• Manage accounts receivable and follow up on overdue invoices to ensure timely payments.

• Collaborate with attorneys and staff to resolve billing discrepancies and answer client billing inquiries.

• Maintain organized billing records and documentation for audits and reporting purposes.

• Assist in the development and implementation of billing procedures to improve efficiency.

  Requirements

Previous experience in legal billing or a similar role (required).

Strong understanding of legal billing software and processes.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with attorneys and clients.
