Lab Ops Assistant

Location: San Diego, fully onsite

Pay: $25/hr

Responsibilities:

• Handling infectious virus samples, general lab supplies, plastics, consumables, and chemicals

• Coordinating with internal and external team members and vendors

• Assist with laboratory inventory including in BSL-2 and BSL-3 controlled environments

• Assist with proper disposal of hazardous/non-hazardous waste

• Shipping and receiving duties as needed

Requirements

• Minimum requirement of high school education. AS or BS degree in chemistry, biology, or related fields preferred

• 1-2 years of previous experience in shipping/receiving within a production/manufacturing environment.

• Experience with GMP and inventory management.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook.

• Required to wear appropriate PPE including protective eyewear, safety coat, gloves, hair nets, and masks.
